Features

Everything in the desktop app

Send requests, test deterministically, capture live sites, and explain linked code. All of it runs locally, and the agent integrations are optional.

Core API work

Everything you need to build, send, and inspect requests.

Postman Collection v2.1

Import and export with a compatibility report. Anything unsupported is listed, never silently dropped.

Request builder

Method, params, headers, auth, body, TLS, and timeouts in one editor.

Send, cancel, and replay

Real HTTP sends you can cancel mid-flight, with a response viewer and request history.

Environments & variables

{{variable}} substitution across every request in a collection.

cURL copy & import

Copy any request as cURL, or paste a cURL command to turn it into a request.

Testing

Repeatable tests generated by rules, not by a language model.

Deterministic generation

Positive, negative, boundary, contract, and security cases built from rules. The same input always gives the same tests.

Test runner

Concurrency limits, cancel, and safety warnings keep bulk runs under control.

Load-style runs

Stress a request from the lower pane without leaving the workspace.

Reports with redaction

Export JSON or HTML results with secrets stripped before they leave the app.

Capture & code awareness

Discover APIs from live sites and understand the code behind them.

Site Capture

Record live fetch/XHR and assets, score SEO / AEO / GEO, and build a collection from the session.

Project Intelligence

Link a local repository and map endpoints to source files.

Deep Explain

Chat and call tree over linked code, from route to service to database.

Security Assessment

Static findings, each with the evidence that produced it.

Approved remediation

Review unified diffs before anything is written to your code.

Report Center

Navigable technical reports you can export as Markdown or HTML.

Security & agents

Your workspace stays on your machine. Agents are optional.

No cloud workspace

Collections, history, environments, and linked project indexes are stored only on your computer. Reconn does not sync user data to our servers.

AES secret vault

Tokens and passwords live in an app-local AES vault on disk. It does not use the OS Keychain and is never uploaded.

TLS verification on

Certificates are verified by default. Turning it off is a deliberate choice for local or lab targets.

Optional agents

Cursor and Claude Code adapters are optional. The core product works without them, and agent prompts redact known secrets.

App experience

Built to be learned in the first session.

Product tour

First launch walks you through Collection, Import, Capture, Explain, and Report. Replay it any time.

In-app user manual

The same guidance as these docs, available inside Help.
